Pain to Power Podcast Episode 116: Masking Pain With Alcohol

October 10, 20231 min read

Welcome to the Pain toPower Podcast.

In this episode, I am joined by Maren Lenhart - Public Health Analyst

Maren Lenhart shares her powerful and deeply personal journey of overcoming addiction and finding strength in sobriety. With raw vulnerability, she discusses the struggles she faced, the wake-up call that prompted her to seek help, and the ongoing journey of recovery. Lenhart's story serves as an inspiration to anyone battling addiction, highlighting the importance of support, addressing underlying issues, and embracing vulnerability. Her words offer hope and encouragement to those seeking healing, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey.

Maren is a Public Health Analyst for a health nonprofit organization here in Iowa. She cares about your dental health more than you probably do and is passionate in her focus to improve health and well being for all community members, particularly our most vulnerable. Maren received a Master's of Public Health from Des Moines University and Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University. She will argue that her additional education came from her experience volunteering and saying yes to new opportunities and surrounding herself with people who are brutally honest.
