Meet Beth

bethheadshot-1“Good. Now you get to write your own story!”

After twenty years of marriage, I was facing divorce. I could feel the ground falling away from under me. What had started as a beautiful fall day, ended with my husband moving out. Would I ever find love again? How would I co-parent and raise my children? What would my finances look like? How would I handle my career?

Everyone around me shared my concern. They shook their heads and told me how sorry they were. They loved me and hugged me and cried with me.

But one friend stood out. She said, “Good. Now you get to write your own story!”

Her words gave me hope and strength. I decided I would not let the tough circumstances of my life define me. From that moment forward, I would make my life a story worth telling.

I set out on an incredible journey of faith and hope — I changed careers and within months became a top seller in my industry. I took over all the hard parenting tasks my husband had done. I focused on becoming my best self through my faith, family and friendships. And took a risk and found love again.

Through it all, I learned that life is an indescribable gift and a one-time offer. It was up to me to use it well.
I wanted to share what I had learned with other women like myself. Women who are tired, stressed, overwhelmed, worried, and lacking confidence. Women who want more time and fewer to-do lists, more contentment and less settling, more confidence and no more negative self-talk.

After 20 years as a small business owner and a prior career as a health educator, I took a bethfamilycolorleap of faith and became a John Maxwell Certified Coach in 2015.

“John C. Maxwell is a #1 New York Times bestselling author, coach, and speaker who has sold more than 26 million books in fifty languages. In 2014 he was identified as the #1 leader in business by the American Management Association® and the most influential leadership expert in the world by Business Insider and Inc. magazine.” (via John C. I chose the John Maxwell Team based on a shared philosophy that says, “You never outperform your own self-image.”

My passion is helping women become the leaders of their lives — because if you don’t like the part you’re playing in your life story, you can write a new script! It’s never too late to say, “this is not how the story is going to end!”

Whether you are facing a major life change like a layoff or downsizing, family changes, or financial loss; or you want to learn how to get organized, manage your time, have more discipline and have deeper, more meaningful relationships with those you love, my lifestyle coaching is the vehicle for change you’ve been searching for.
