What I’m loving:
These bags!! You Ghana Love These Bags. They are the CUTEST and empower women in Ghana at the Nyame Do Women’s Center, which teaches the women to sew. The program is empowering, educating, and embracing women so they can provide for themselves and their families. Our Tribe Member, Brenda, is one of the founders too. I am so inspired by her heart and passion to serve! They have bags, backpacks, purses, computer bags, wine holders, aprons, and yoga mats. Each one is unique and colorful. Did I mention the bags are the best gifts?! I love the sling & purses. Donate & learn more about their bags here!
What I’m reading:
The Positive Dog by John Gordon. People always say to me, “why are you so damn happy?” One of the secrets to my happiness is my outlook on life.
I’m also reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. It’s a great book to give you courage to pursue your interests by showing you how to deal with your fear. My favorite quote in the book is “It seems to me that the less I fight my fear, the less it fights back. If I can relax, fear relaxes, too.” — Elizabeth Gilbert
What I’m listening to:
My girls got me hooked on the Enneagram. Have you heard of it? It is “nine distinct strategies for relating to the self, others and the world” (The Narrative Enneagram). Jonathan and I are enjoying learning about each other! And each of our kids too. It’s given us language to understand the root of our character.
We’ve been listening to the Understanding Your Enneagram podcasts. I can guarantee you know someone that identifies with each of the 9 types. The Enneagram Institute is a great place to start. There’s also a FREE test we like to use through Eclectic Energies (take the classical test).
