Hello beautiful warrior woman:
I traveled to Arizona. My first time on an airplane in months. I contemplated whether it was smart to travel and decided to listen to my heart instead of my head. To me it was a “hell yes” and I soaked up every moment with my mom and dad.
Not everyone would choose to travel right now.
I think this stage of life calls for a heavy does of empathy, openness, acceptance and no judgement. Of ourselves AND others. Agree?
As offices are calling some of you to come back to work, you are getting invited to the gym or restaurants, to go to the grad party or not, have the wedding or not. I’m getting anxiety filled messages and phone calls from beloved friends and clients asking, “What should I do?!”
First, listen to your own heart. (That’s it. Just really listen to yourself. Not your friends, not what’s on Facebook, your boss or your mother.) Tap into what’s coming up for you when you think about going out into the world, to stores, to exercise, to work, etc. I always tell my kids to put their hand on their heart and they’ll know the answer.
Second, you have a choice. You get to decide what’s comfortable, what’s right FOR YOU.
Here’s what I know, that I know, that I know…if you’re not in 100% alignment about going to a gathering or for a haircut or on an airplane or back to the office…then it’s a no.
If it’s not a hell yes, then it’s a no.
Can you imagine a life that contained ONLY the things your heart and soul are fully aligned on? And I’m talking ONE HUNDRED PERCENT, not 95% or 99.9%!
This is what I’m calling you to ponder today. Take a look around, what feels out of alignment? What do you get to call into alignment? You know. Trust yourself.
Life is simple. It’s not easy, but it is simple.
Loving you fiercely,
P.S. You guys. I can’t contain myself. I’m ready to put some 6-people retreats together starting in August, September and October. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with “I’m interested in a retreat” for some GIRLFRIEND FUN to Ignite Your Life later this year…and I’ll make sure that you have all the deets. There’s some DAYTIME ONLY retreats and some I-can’t-wait-for-a-night-away retreats. I’m here for you, friend.
